‘연역적 투자’를 위한 실험
As I think back over the years, I have been guided by four principles for decision making. First, the only certainty is that there is no certainty. Second, every decision, as a consequence, is a matter of weighing probabilities. Third, despite uncertainty we must decide and we must act. And lastly, we need to judge decisions not only on the results, but on how they were made.
과거를 돌아보면, 네 가지 의사결정 원칙에 따랐었다.
100% 확실한 건 없다.
모든 결정의 본질은 확률을 저울질하는 것이다.
불확실성에도 불구하고 결정하고 행동해야 한다.
지난 결정을 평가할 때 결과 뿐 아니라 과정과 근거도 고려해야 한다.

1999년 5월의 글이네요. 아시아 외환위기를 겪은 직후, 남미 외환위기가 붉어지면서 미국이 혼자만 살아남으면 된다는 의식을 바꾸기 시작한 시기... 당시의 경제사적 시대상을 담은 연설 요약해 주셔서 감사히 공부했습니다.
